KEARNEY — A two vehicle accident took place near the intersection of 30th Avenue and West 35 Street during the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 7.
Around 7:50 a.m., the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection for the report of a two-vehicle accident in which airbags had deployed.
On scene a white Chevrolet car had come to a stop in the southbound lanes, facing north, with rear end damage. A grey Jeep SUV was in the right lane of the northbound section of 30th Ave. with front end damage.
Traffic was diverted at W. 35th Ave and W. 39th Ave. to route traffic around the accident scene.
The Kearney Police Department was still investigating the cause of the accident but stated that there was no transport due to injury.
The KPD was assisted on scene by the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department, Dowhy Towing Recovery, and CHI Health Good Samaritan ambulance services.
