Holiday Light Festival at Yanney Heritage Park

KEARNEY — The City of Kearney Park and Recreation Department is coordinating the 6th Annual Holiday Light Festival from 5:30-8:30 p.m., Dec. 6-16, at Yanney Heritage Park.

Forty-four businesses and organizations will decorate trees and open areas, along the walkway from the Peterson Senior Activity Center to the Gottschalk Observation Tower and through part of The Gardens at Yanney Park.

The park will be lit up each night and special theme nights are scheduled as follows: Hot Chocolate Nights on Dec. 6, 12, 15, Candy Cane Nights on Dec. 7, 10, 16, First Responder Showcase Night on Dec. 6, Cookie Night on Dec. 13, Jingle Bell Nights on Dec. 9 and 14, Trackless Train Nights on Dec. 8 and 16, Glow Light Nights on Dec. 8, 11, 15, and Santa Night on Dec. 9.

This event is free to the public. Overflow parking is located on the south end of the park. Please contact the Park and Recreation Department, at 237-4644, for more information.
