By Mark Reid Dec 26, 2023 | 9:51 AM

The 2023 Christmas Storm that brought Blizzard like conditions for much of Nebraska is slowly moving out of the central plains. The surface low moved from Missouri, north into Iowa then back tracked into Northeast Nebraska and now is moving through central Nebraska.

Blizzard warning remains in effect over western Nebraska until Wednesday at 6am. A Winter Weather Advisory through South Central Nebraska until 6am Wednesday 12/27. The surface low at 9am Tuesday was located over Hebron and one reason winds have decreased across south Central Nebraska. Western Nebraska is still on the outer edges of the Low and winds are from 25-35 mph out of the Northwest.
