FARGO, ND – The Tri-City Storm is set for tonight’s road game against the Fargo Force at Scheels Arena. Tonight’s game is the opening game of a three-game week for the Storm. Tri-City will conclude play this week with back-to-back road games against the Sioux City Musketeers at the Tyson Events Center tomorrow night and Saturday night. Puck drop for tonight’s matchup between the Storm and the Force at Scheels Arena is scheduled for 7:05pm CT.
Tri-City (15-11-1-3) enters tonight’s road game against Fargo on a four-game point streak despite last Saturday’s 3-2 shootout loss to the Lincoln Stars at the Ice Box. Carmelo Crandell and Owen Beckner each netted a goal for the Storm during the loss. Tri-City was outshot 36-32 overall in the matchup, and the Storm fell to 6-5-1-1 this season in games where the team has been outshot by its opponent. The Storm is now 0-4-0-1 when trailing after the 1st period, and 2-11-0-2 when trailing after the 2nd period this year. Tri-City has posted a record of 3-7-1-1 in games played away from the Viaero Center during the 2023-2024 regular season. The Storm dropped the opening two games of this year’s six-game season series against the Force with previous losses at Scheels Arena on December 28th & December 29th, 2023. Tri-City was outscored by a combined margin of 14-6 by Fargo during the team’s previous trip to Scheels Arena this year. The Storm will host the Force in three consecutive home games at the Viaero Center to conclude the series March 15-17th, 2024. Tonight’s matchup for the Storm will mark the official halfway point in the team’s sixty-two game regular season schedule. Fargo currently boasts a fifteen-point lead over the Sioux City Musketeers at the top of the USHL’s Western Conference standings. The Force has not dropped a game in regulation time at Scheels Arena this year entering tonight’s home game against the Storm. Fargo is 14-0-1-0 in home games to this point in the 2023-2024 regular season. The Force is 9-1-0-0 over the last ten games, including two wins over the Storm.
