GRAND ISLAND — A man was arrested after he was reported to be drinking on the hood of a vehicle at a car dealership in Grand Island on Friday, Oct. 18.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, at 7:32 p.m., officers were dispatched to MSAS Auto Sales for the reported of a man sitting on top of a car belonging to the dealership and was screaming at people.
The man, later identified as Chol D. Chol, was impaired by alcohol and yelling at people under the influence, according to the GIPD.
Officers said that Chol intentionally continued to drink, even after being advised to stop drinking from the bottle he held in his hand. This hindered the investigation and prevented the preservation of the peace, according to officers.
Chol was placed under arrest and a search of his person resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia and 0.5 grams of methamphetamine.
Chol was arrested for obstruction of a police officer, criminal mischief – $1,500, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
