A Denver woman has been sentenced for distributing meth in McCook.

A federal judged has sentenced Tina Smith, 35, to 57 months’ imprisonment for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

There is no parole in the federal system.

After her release from prison, she will begin a three-year term of supervised release.

Beginning in February 2019, and continuing through May 2019, law enforcement utilized a confidential informant to purchase methamphetamine from Smith and her co-defendant, Taylor Brown, in McCook, Nebraska. Smith was found responsible for at least 30 grams of actual methamphetamine.

Brown is scheduled to enter a plea of guilty on October 13, 2022.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the McCook Police Department.
