This weekend will be the annual Junk Jaunt, after organizers worked closely with health departments to get approval. Junk Jaunt usually brings in people from all across the country to central Nebraska to buy their favorite antiques. From Wood River all the way to Broken Bow there are stores, vendors, and garage sales along the 500 mile route. Business across Nebraska have been impacted financially due to the pandemic so they are excited to welcome customers to check out their sales. The event begins Friday and runs through Sunday with a full map of all the vendors listed online.
The Nebraska men’s basketball program is planning to be part of a 16-team tournament held in Lincoln in late November and early December, The Huskers were previously scheduled to play in the Myrtle Beach Invitational, which had been moved to Orlando, Florida. According to a sources, the tourney would include teams from the Big 12, SEC, Missouri Valley, Summit League and Conference USA, among other leagues. Event planning will move forward if the Big Ten announces it will allow league teams to play nonconference games.
