A Lincoln man was sentenced to 10 years in prison following a second offense of possession of child pornography.
37-year-old Adam Bates of Lincoln was sentenced Friday to 120 months in prison for the possession of child pornography.
Following the prison sentence, Bates will serve a 10-year supervised release. On July 1st, 2016, Bates’ parole officer contacted Nebraska State Patrol to report that she had found Bates in possession of a cell phone violating his parole.
After searching the device, investigators found child pornography. At the time, Bates was on parole due to his prior conviction in 2011 for the same charge.
