One person is in custody after assaulting officers during a medical call. On Tuesday, officers from KPD were called to Casey’s on Talmage to assist EMS crews on a report of an adult male having a medical issue inside.
The male, later identified as 32-year-old Christian Gonzalez was displaying paranoid and aggressive behavior toward EMS staff. Once officers responded to the scene Gonzalez became more aggressive, with a fight breaking out between Gonzalez and three officers.
Gonzalez attempted to bite each officer multiple times as he was placed in police custody. Gonzalez was transported to CHI Good Samaritan Hospital for injuries sustained from the fight. The officers that were involved were treated and released for injuries sustained during the arrest.
The incident remains under investigation
