Hastings College Women's Wrestling // HC Broncos Athletics
MARIEETA, GA – The Hastings College women’s wrestling team opened up the Eagle Madness Duals with a win over Sienna Heights 35-19 on Friday.
Hastings did fall behind early with a forfeit at 101 and a loss at 109 but got back in the match when Adacelli Salaiz-Noriega won by forfeit to make it 10-5.
Larissa Kaz then made quick work of Paige Leonard at 123 by pinning her just :47 into the match to tie things 10-10 but Sienna Heights came right back with a win at 130 before HC took charge.
Kaydince Turner picked up a 15-4 tech fall victory at 136 over Athena Colderon to make it 15-14. Then Tabitha Wood won a hard fought 3-2 match at 143 over Phoenix Waters to give the Lady Broncos the 17-15 lead.
Then Lisa Hoeflich made quick work of Zoe Hussar at 155 by pinning her at the 1:24 mark to increase Hastings’ lead to 22-15. After Sienna Heights picked up a victory at 170, Marissa Patterson.
The other eight points came from Angelina Alonzo as she dominated her match picking up a 10-0 tech fall win over Lillian Ruesink just :45 into the match. Reagen Gallaway also dominiated her match with a 10-0 tech fall victory over Alexus Shaneyfelt just 1:15 into the match.
