LINCOLN – Per multiple reports, Nebraska quarterback Chubba Purdy is transferring from the program.
Purdy was a significant part of the Nebraska offense the past two seasons, starting four games including the final two contests of the 2023 season at Wisconsin and Iowa. This will be Purdy’s second transfer in two years, however, the younger brother of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock, is an eligible due to an interim NCAA rule allowing transfers to be granted immediate eligibility for their second transfer until Dec. 27.
Purdy graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln over the past weekend, giving him immediate eligibility to transfer to a new program. Nebraska now has three scholarship quarterbacks on their roster, with incoming freshman Dylan Raiola and Daniel Kaelin joining the team after their early enrollment from their signing day earlier today. Kearney Catholic alum Heinrich Haarberg remains another scholarship quarterback on the roster.
QB Chubba Purdy tells me he plans to enter the transfer portal.

I'm told by another source Boise State is a possible landing spot for Purdy.
