LINCOLN – Former Nebraska Volleyball outside hitter Ally Batenhorst has made her transfer decision, electing to fly west to warmer weather and join the University of Southern California volleyball program.

Batenhorst, a junior in collegiate standing, made her announcement via her personal social media pages on Saturday.

The former Husker will stay in the Big Ten Conference, however, as USC is set to join the Big Ten later this summer. USC finished with a 19-13 record and No. 24 in the final AVCA rankings after reaching the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Batenhorst also stated on social media that she will be playing beach season with Nebraska this Spring as she finishes her undergraduate degree. Batenhorst played in 30 matches for the Huskers in 2023 averaging over 2.25 kills per set.

During her three seasons at Nebraska, she helped the Huskers reach the national championship match twice. She had a career-high 196 kills this season, as well as 52 blocks. She had 13 kills when Nebraska won its No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup against Wisconsin.
