NEBRASKA – Nebraska Football fans will not have to wait as long through the off-season to get back to seeing their Huskers in action.
Well, sort of. That is if you are a fan of the digital format and own a gaming console.
EA Sports, developers of the Madden franchise, recently announced their intentions to revitalize the NCAA Football Franchise, which had not released a new game since 2013 with NCAA Football 14. The team behind the game also announced that a summer release date has been set for this year.
Through social media on Thursday morning, Nebraska Football confirmed that they are involved with the project. Per a report from ESPN, players can opt-in to the NCAA video game receiving $600 and a free copy of the game if they provide their name, image, and likeness.
ESPN has also confirmed that analysts Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler will feature in the game, along with David Pollack and Jesse Palmer. EA Sports College Football 25 will feature all 134 FBS teams.
