BOSTON, MASS. – Nebraska track and field opened the NCAA Indoor Championships Thursday night in Boston, Mass. with Henry Zimmerman claiming First-Team All-America honors in the weight throw.
In his first NCAA Championship appearance, Zimmerman placed seventh with a mark of 74-3 (22.63m) at the TRACK at new balance. The junior from New Albany, Ohio was the Big Ten bronze medalist in the weight throw, owns the top-four marks in school history and has collected a pair of Big Ten Field Athlete of the Week honors this season.
NCAA Indoor Championships will continue tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. (CT). Till Steinforth will be Nebraska’s first competitor of the day, beginning the heptathlon.
