KEARNEY – The Tri-City Storm is set for this weekend’s two-game series against the Sioux City Musketeers at the Viaero Center. Tonight’s game is Make-A-Wish Night, and tomorrow’s showdown between the Storm and the Musketeers will serve as the organization’s annual Puck’s N’ Paw’s Night. Tickets to each game may be purchased online at www.StormHockey.com, or by calling the Viaero Center Box Office at 308-338-8144. Puck drop for tonight’s game is set for 7:05pm CT, and tomorrow night’s game is set to begin at 6:05pm CT.

Tri-City (23-17-4-4) enters tonight’s matchup against Sioux City as the 4th place team in the USHL’s Western Conference. The Storm previously split home games against the Musketeers on Friday, September 29th, and Saturday, September 30th. Tri-City has posted a 1-2-1-1 record in head-to-head matchups this season against Sioux City, after splitting last year’s series with a final record of 4-3-1-0. The Storm is 19-11-2-2 in head-to-head matchups against the Musketeers over the last five seasons, including a record of 9-5-1-1 in games played in the series at the Viaero Center. Tri-City collected one point last weekend in a three-game series against the Lincoln Stars. The Storm collected a 4-3 overtime win over the Stars one week ago at the Ice Box, but fell in back-to-back games at the Viaero Center on Saturday and Sunday. Charlie Kinsman, Nick Roukounakis, Seth Constance, and A.J. Lacroix each recorded a goal for Tri-City in Sunday’s 5-4 home loss to Lincoln. The Storm dropped to 17-4-0-2 when leading after the 1st period, and 2-2-1-2 when tied after the 2nd period in Sunday’s defeat. Tri-City’s powerplay finished the game 1/5, and Tri-City’s penalty kill completed the contest with a perfect 3/3 record.

Sioux City (28-16-6-0) trails only the Fargo Force in the USHL’s Western Conference standings entering this weekend’s road series against Tri-City. The Musketeers have posted a 5-5-0-0 record over the past ten games, and have won four straight games over the Storm dating back to a 4-3 victory at the Viaero Center on Saturday, September 30th. Sioux City split two games last weekend against the Des Moines Buccaneers. The Musketeers posted a 6-5 shootout win over the Buccaneers last Saturday at the Tyson Events Center. Kaden Shahan (2), Giacomo Martino, Sam Court, and Brian Nicholas each scored goals for Sioux City in the victory. Shahan currently leads all USHL skaters with 34 goals netted this season. The Musketeers will return to action on Wednesday in a home game against the Sioux Falls Stampede before hosting the Youngstown Phantoms in back-to-back games at the Tyson Events Center next weekend. Sioux City’s magic number to clinch a spot in the 2024 Clark Cup Playoffs is down to ten points entering this weekend’s road series.
