GRAND ISLAND — A Grand Island man was arrested for his fifth shoplifting offense on Monday, June 10.
At 3:45 p.m., loss prevention staff with the north Walmart location reported that Lester Wood skipped scanning items in a shelf check out, which concealed the items without paying for them.
The property was recovered and left with the store.
Wood was arrested for shoplifting, less than $500, fifth offense. He would be booked into the Hall County Department of Corrections.
Wood’s last shoplifting conviction occurred in 2022, after he was accused of shoplifting from the Hy-Vee location and was sentenced to seven days in jail.
